National Service Scheme

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a voluntary community service program in India that was launched in 1969.The program is run by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.The NSS’s goal is to develop students’ personality and character through community service. The aim of NSS is to give an extent dimension to the higher education system. The NSS unit was started in the year 2011 in our college to establish a meaningful relationship between the campus and the community. Students of first and second year undergraduates are eligible for enrollment. A total of 100 students will be enrolled in the unit.

To develop a sense of social and civic responsibility.
To develop students’ character and personality through voluntary community services.
To help students understand the community in which they work and live.
To help students identify community needs and problems, and involve the community in finding solutions.
To develop the competence to share responsibilities and live in groups.
To develop leadership qualities and democratic values of students.
To promote national integration and social harmony.
