RED RIBBON CLUB

  • The red ribbon club project was created by the New York based visual Aids Artists caucus in 1991 with the motto of demonstrating the compassion for people living with Aids & their caregivers.
  • The red ribbon is a symbol for both drug abuse and for the fight against Aids. The red ribbon foundation is an organization created in 1993 with the objective of imparting education about prevention of HIV and Aids.
  • The Red Ribbon Club was established in our College during the year 2011 and it has 100 volunteers from I st and II nd Undergraduate courses. All the volunteers are working for the noble cause of awareness among the rural and urban population about AIDS and other such disease that the society is facing and promoting overall progressive health and wellness.

Objectives:

  • Aims to serve various purposes like awareness against drug abuse, substance abuse, anti- AIDS campaign, conducting blood donation camp, etc.
  • Another chief purpose is the empowerment and overall development of youth.
